Innovation Competition
Objective
- To provide opportunity to participants to showcase their innovation product in STEM teaching and learning
- To promote educators competency in practicing the 21st Century STEM teaching and learning
- To improve educators awareness to always innovate in STEM teaching and learning
- To create a networking opportunity among innovators in STEM teaching and learning
Rules and Regulations
- Innovation competition is open to all educators from schools, universities or any educational institutions
- The competition will be conducted fully online. The poster will be uploaded to PPSMJ Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064110879760)
- Participants may enter as individual or group (up to 5 members per group)
- Each participants need to submit
- Poster
- Extended abstract
- Participants are allowed to submit more than one submission and need to pay for each submission
- Each submission is subjected to a payment of:
- Normal price (RM100)
- The organizer reserves the right to reject submissions that do not fulfill the above-mentioned criteria.
- Each participant will receive an e-certificate as proof of participation.
Due Dates
- Registration Deadline: 31 October 2022
- Notification of Acceptance: 26 – 31 October 2022
- Full Payment and Registration: 31 October 2022
- Submission of Poster: 3 November 2022
- Submission of Extended Abstract: 6 November 2022
Poster Guideline
- Poster size is 1920X1280 pixels
- Please use the provided template
- Poster should include
- Objective of innovation (Issues to be solved)
- Innovativeness (Changes/Innovation made)
- Impact towards student’s learning (potential of problem will be solved /Proof of issues are solved)
- Please avoid putting too many words.
Extended Abstract Guideline
- Each participant is required to prepare an extended abstract
- The format of extended abstract is as follow
- Maximum 3 pages in length, including References and Acknowledgement
- Please use the provided Extended Abstract Template
- Please submit the extended abstract by 29 October 2022

Top 3 Innovation Prizes
First – RM500
Second – RM300
Third – RM200
Judging Criteria
Each submission will be judged based on the following criteria
- Novelty (New Ideas)
- Innovativeness (Design of Ideas)
- Impacts towards Students’ Learning
- Poster (Clarity, Self explained)
- Bonus (Completeness of product)
